Don't Let Metro Close Our Bus Stops!

Metro Transit is planning on closing several bus stops along 15th Avenue NW. Approximately half of the stops between the Ballard Bridge and NW 85th are marked for closure.

If you would prefer that these stops remain in service, I encourage you to let Metro know this. You may write to Metro (Metro Customer Assistance Office, MS-KSC-TR-0326, 201 S. Jackson St., Seattle, WA 98104), send e-mail (customer.comments AT metrokc D0T gov), or call them (no direct phone number is provided for this, but you might try calling the Rider Information Office at (206) 553-3000).

Points to consider:

Please send a copy of any letters or e-mail to Larry Phillips, our representative on the Metropolitan King County Council (which oversees Metro Transit). While Metro Transit staff members might be unresponsive, elected officials generally do respond to voters. Larry's mailing address is: King County Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Room 1200, Seattle, WA 98104-3272. His e-mail address is larry.phillips AT metrokc D0T gov and he has a web site at www.metrokc.gov/mkcc/members/d4/index.htm.

For more details, see Metro's web site at transit.metrokc.gov/faq/faq_15avenwstops.html

Thank you very much. See you on the bus!
